an analysis of the capital bra and haftbefehl pizza and their psychological implications

Recently, the two German rappers known as "Capital Bra" and "Haftbefehl" released their own brand of pizza. Now, lesser bloggers would at most just review the taste of their pizza and move on, but i am not one of these bloggers. In this essay i will analyze both the packaging and taste and use them asess the mental state of both of these figures, how they view themselves, and what this says about them.

Starting off with the Haftbefehl pizza, it is significantly larger than its competitor, the Capital Bra pizza. The front of the packaging praises the pizza, and emphasizes heavily that it is made by Haftbefehl, a trend that will continue as we take a look at the backside of the box. Such phrases as "Haftig Lecker", "Babo Pizza" and "Du weißt das es Haft ist" seem to indicate a great amount of confidence in both the product and Haftbefehl as a person, while also portraying the pizza as being representative of himself. These words, while seemingly an innocent endorsement of the product at first, will, as we continue this analysis, serve to paint a very different picture of Haftbefehl. In order to understand the full context of the backside of the pizza box, we will, however, have to first experience the pizza. So, that was exactly what I did. At first glance, the Haftbefehl pizza looks vastly superior to its competitor of the Capital Bra pizza in both toppings, size and appearance. While the Capital Bra pizza seems to be a relatively small, plain salami pizza with a thick base and crust, the Haftbefehl pizza had a much more even distribution of salami and a variety of spices sprinkled on top, giving it a more Mediterranean taste. Sadly, it tasted quite bland, despite its very alluring outward appearance. This is, at least in my opinion, an indicator that Haftbefehl prioritizes outward appearance over inner values like kindness, compassion or friendship. This theory is further confirmed by looking at the back of the box. This includes a comic strip illustrating the conception of the Haftbefehl pizza. In this strip we can see Haftbefehl sitting in an expensive studio with his friends- a stark contrast to the packaging of the Capital Bra pizza, as we will soon see. In the comic, he proclaims that they are going to create a new pizza to embody the taste of 069, the area code of the city in which Haftbefehl lives. Two of his friends then make suggestions as to which toppings they should include on the pizza. Instead of listening to their feedback, however, he ignores them, saying that they are going to produce a salami pizza instead. This further shows Haftbefehls' disregard for other people, and reckless desire to fuel his own ego.

In contrast, the Capital Bra pizza has a very different tone. The text on the packaging much less emphasizes the quality of the pizza, and moreso directly commands you to buy it with sentences like "Brah, hold dir die Pizza" and "Iss die Pizza befor es ein anderer tut". The appearance of the packaging is also much closer to that of a traditional pizza, not choosing to incorporate many illustrations, as was the case with Haftbefehl. On the back of the packaging, we can see Capital Bra, in a red car, with a white checkered pattern, wearing a chefs' hat, presumably delivering his pizza, a stark contrast to the expensive studio shown in Haftbefehls pizza. Capital Bra seems to want to use this imagery to establish a close connection to the working class, distancing himself from the glamour and egocentrism of Haftbefehl. Showing that despite his success, he can still emphasize with the struggle of the average man, working a nine to five job. His Pizza, while not looking quite as good as Haftbefehls, or being as big, is also considerably taster and more filling, delivering an overall better experience to the consumer, while not focusing as much on appearance. This shows that Capital Bra places the importance of inner values over such things as appearance or money, and is overall more modest and grounded, shown by his lack of excessive praise of the product, focusing moreso on convincing the consumer to purchase it via commanding them to do so, showcasing his more straightforward approach to life, unburdened by such things as jealousy or greed.

Overall, i give the Haftbefehl pizza a 4/10, and the Capital Bra pizza a 7/10.
