17: Vaxry is kind of a dick

There's been some recent drama in the open source world, specifically involving vaxry, the maintainer of one of the bigger wayland window managers: Long story short, he was an edgy dick to a trans person. 

Now, I'm not really gonna dwell on that part to long: Idiots exist, they're everywhere, and while it was a dick move, in the end he's just some edgy kid maintaining a window manager. What i do want to talk about is how the reaction to this ended up being... Kind of insane? At least from what I've seen so far, there's a concerning amount of people being mad at the trans person for "bringing politics into the project" by asking people to use their pronouns. I'm don't know about you, but the last time i checked, basic grammar concepts weren't political. The fact that people are somehow blaming their own harassment them now is actually absurd. Luckily, vaxry is just some guy making a foss project, and all in all he just kind of seems like an edgy dick. Just stop using the hyprland discord, Problem solved. Im mostly just concerned about, y'know, everything surrounding the drama. I like to think most people are reasonable and don't support harassing trans people, but i guess I've been proven wrong once again. 

Anyways, I'm gonna go and continue using KDE. There's probably a rant about my opinions on window managers in here somewhere, maybe I'll make that the next blog post. Cyaaa!
